*Disclaimer*

With NinetyforChill.com evolving into more than the rough draft blog for my primary blog, MainEventoftheDead.com needs a new place to test out the formatting of recent blogs. "Main Event of the Dead" is my screenplay about pro-wrestling and zombies. I have a movie website, so may as well have a wrestling site.

Western Ignorance and The Disgruntled's Real Women's World Championship

*Blog post started on June 17, 2020.

Does Squarespace offer app development tools? Yes, I should just visit their website. This being the third blog that will be featured at the "Disgruntled's Real Championship Wrestling (drcwwrestling.blogspot.com)", it seems like a good idea to give the reader a look into the thought process of "The Student of the Game" Scoop Staley/Russ Stevens.

When trying to come up with a subtitle for this post, I thought about "Fuck Squarespace" since I think I built my layout pretty quickly. Eight hours at the most, probably closer to four, was the amount of time for me to format this blog using Blogger's tools. For a guy who earned their plan B, web design certificate in the days of dial up, it looks pretty good.

The restrictions the layout has forces the blogger with an eye for layout from doing too much. Just visit my old anime blogs to see what I am talking about (AnimeFlow - http://angelfire.com/anime4/animeflow or The Bus's Transit of Anime Realities - https://www.oocities.org/tokyo/temple/9980/). Of course, those were just personal sites. Once you work on a couple of not-for-profit and wrestling websites, you learn looks are more important than excessive usability. This makes me wonder if I should pull up all the wrestling websites I worked on to further show my skill. Do you ever want to have a reason to boot up a Windows Vista computer.

But, all this is based around a certification I obtained in 2002. I knew Flash, but it did not feel reliable format to focus on that. Regardless of the tools I know, apps for phones and tablets (primarily phones) are something I have no clue about. Wanting to develop an app for NinetyForChill.com is why I felt I could create a new blog to serve as a draft for MainEventOfTheDead.com (a website to show all my writing off in hopes for the support to get my B-Movie zom-com script of the same name out of development hell. Feel free to send any suggestions or treatment requests to russthebus07@gmail.com).

Computer programming, or should I say efficient computer programming, is a skill set that I am lacking in. If it was not for my failure to learn data structures along with my lack of logical grip of reality, pursuing a career in what I truly loved, pro-wrestling (or just being applauded for risking my health in general), may not have happened. I am glad computer programming help me find myself, but to get the none cinematic projects of the ground, I am going to need help. This is not a money request, so if anyone can drop me an email at nekonukes@mail.com with means to develop a database app for phones, it would be greatly appreciated.

Speaking of data, I am presuming that if you are still reading this blog, you want me to discuss the history of the Disgruntled's Real Women's World Championship. Where to start, because unlike the Men's World and Men's World Tag Team histories, starting it at Starrcade 1983 seems to be out of the question? Women's wrestling was not on that card if I remember correctly.

At least that query shows I am watching old WWE Network content when ever I am subscribed. After the bullshit WWE pulled on Bar Wrestling, my subscription ends on July 4. I will not have that luxury until the Royal Rumble...maybe. This means that I better work this out quick.

As it turns out, the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA, technically, the WWE acronym has no meaning thus why I did not spell out that promotion's former name) lost their women's championship when Fabulous Moolah (who owned the championship) sold it to Vince McMahon a month after Starrcade, so I guess we can start there anyhow. This is kind of sad because we cannot cancel this woman out. History does enough to show the lack of appreciation of women's wrestling. It is sad to find out that it was like that since the beginning.

The 1st Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:

NWA/World Wrestling Federation's The Fabulous Moolah (5) (October 9, 1978 to July 23, 1984)
I suppose every story involving women must start with original sin being their responsibility. Verne Gagne's American Wrestling Association Women's Championship had derived itself from the NWA's Women's Championship, but it was vacant at the time.

The 2nd Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
WWF's Wendy Richter (7/23/84 to 2/18/1985)

The 3rd Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
WWF's Leilani Kai (2/18/85 to 3/31/85)

The 4th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
WWF's Wendy Richter (2) (3/31/1985 to 11/25/85)
And it looks like every story needs a martyr. This is widely regarded as the original screw job (I know, "Dark Side of the Ring" has Jim Cornette and Vince Russo telling of an older one) as The Spider Lady (Fabulous Moolah) and official were going to score the fall and win the title no matter what.

The 5th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
AWA's Sherri Martel (1) (11/25/85 to 1/16/1986)
If I am not going to recognize the Montreal Screw Job's beneficiary, I cannot reward it to a hooded Moolah. Sherri Martel is someone that I do not recall many matches with as a competitor. Any other WWF-raised child (Gen-X) probably thinks like I do, so it is good to inspire them to look into the expansive history of the WWE Hall of Famer.

The 6th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
AWA's Candi Devine (1/16/86 to 6/26/86)

The 7th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
AWA/WWF's Sherri Martel (2) (6/86/86 to 10/7/1988)
This is another indictment on the lack of respect given to women's wrestling. In all likelihood, Gagne forgot about the division since Martel was also managing Doug Somers and Buddy Rose. The day her WWF run started is coincidently the day the AWA title was vacated.

The 8th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
WWF's Rockin Robin (10/7/88 to 2/21/1990)

The 9th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
World Women's Wrestling Association's Bull Nakano (2/21/90 to 11/26/1992)
I was tempted to skip over Rockin Robin because, after Martel's last reign, all major American women's championship would end up inactive. Fortunately for Robin, the All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling premier title (considered to be the first world championship, which was established on the American wrestling-scene by Mildred Burke), was vacated in January 1990. Thus, we would not have a Real Women's Champion for one month. Vacancy will not reign on this list.

AJPW was the promotion that was most involved with the reestablishment of the WWF's Women's Championship. This is another reason that it seems fitting to allow it to carry on the torch.

Inviting AJPW into this list will allow for all-women pro-wrestling promotions to be considered. Thus, Stardom, Shine, and Shimmer may be Real World Championships. I suppose it all allows GLOW, WOW, and WSU as well. Wrestling With Wregret can explain my skepticism.

The 10th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
AJWPW's Aja Kong (11/26/1992 to 3/26/1995)

The 11th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
WWF's Bull Nakano (3/26/95 to 4/3/95)
I may need to further research AJWPW to see if the WWF champion was defeated by Aja Kong between November 20, 1994 when she won this title from Alundra Blayze. When she did win the championship, it was the last championship match on the card headlined by the V*TOP 5 Star Tournament. The final saw Aja Kong defeated by Akira Hokuta who was a freelance non-title holder at that time.

The 12th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
WWF's Alundra Blayze (4/3/95 to 8/27/95)

The 13thth Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
WWF's Bertha Faye (8/27/95 to 10/23/95)
This title history could have gone through Puerto Rico instead of Japan. Bertha Faye as Monster Ripper defeated the last AWA champion Candi Devine for the title, but AWA did not recognize the change. The match also established the World Wrestling Council Women's Championship, but it was Ripper was primarily swapped between her and Sasha until La Tigresa took over her role in 1992.

The 14th Disgruntled's Real Women's World Champion:
AJWPW's Dynamite Kansai (10/23/95 to 12/4/1995)
Blayze had thrown WWF's Championship in the trash. World Championship Wrestling did not have a title at the time, so do we really want to recognize the end of American women's wrestling with a ratings stunt and the knowledge that Vince McMahon found women to be expendable?

This seems like the ideal spot to end the first chapter of this title history. As long as my life is not too eventful, I should be able to further construct this tale of the past next week.
