X Humor for the X Division:
Hey, it is not XXX humor. It definitely hugs that line between X and R only because of subject matter, not necessarily presentation.
Is it okay to wish lung cancer on someone? Twitter threads just seem so convoluted when you only have 112 followers (at best).
It is Friday, so everybody is getting paid and not everyone feel it is necessary to have a bank account. I get that latter portion, especially in these unpresented times. But is it too much that you and your driver not ash all over the funds?
Do you think I am being too harsh? They were not being judged for ashing on themselves. I would even excuse flicking the butts on to a busy street. The worst thing that could happen is they toast a flower bed.
I have no problem with smokers. I just prefer they look 1920's fancy. If the pandemic can comeback a hundred years later, why not long cigarette holders or pipes?
Wishing lung cancer on someone is not too bad. My dad recovered from his. His father did not, but he was 11 years older (77). Lung cancer killed my mom's mom, but she was 81 and smoked since 18. She was quite impressed with the life she lived and she did not own a company or inaugural and perpetuity season tickets to the Buffalo Bills like grandpa Stevens.
The point is you can beat it or you can die at 79. Neither sounds that bad. What did Tyrion Lannister hope for when asked about how he wanted to die:
In my own bed at the ripe age of 80. With a belly full of wine and young girl's mouth around my cock.
I am just saying, even if you have all four of those stipulations, your exit might still be cancer. Just look respectable when you are being treated respectably. It is not like I am wishing rectal, testicular, ovarian, or breast cancer on you. You will get to keep everything for the most part.
And now on with the list.
The 70th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
(WWE United States and Intercontinental/ECW Television/NWA X-Division):NWA X Division Champion A.J. Styles (1) (October 23, 2002 to November 6, 2002)
The 71st Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWA X Division Champion Jerry Lynn (11/6/02 to 12/11/02)
The 72nd Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWA X Division Champion Sonny Siaki (12/11/02 to 2/12/2003)
The 73rd Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWA X Division Champion Kid Kash (2) (2/12/03 to 4/30/03)
The NWA National Champion would be Ricky Murdoch. He would have the total longest combined reign, but no Wikipedia page.
The 74th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWA X Division Champion Amazing Red (1) (4/30/03 to 5/14/03)
He is a wrestler that should be immortalized for pioneering the somersault powerbomb, known as the Code Red by every commentator.
NWA X Division Champion Chris Sabin (1) (5/14/03 to 8/20/03)
WWE was days away from bringing back the Intercontinental Championship. Sabin also unified the X Division Championship with World Wrestling All Stars Cruiserweight Championship, another Jarrett product.
With that said, it could be argued that the first incarnation WWE Cruiserweight Championship would be a secondary championship since all of the X-Division champions were cruiserweights. But with the fat joke Oklahoma being a former Cruiserweight champ and Hornswoggle being the last to hold that title, it is clear the Vince Russo/Bruce Pritchard types never really knew what they were doing with it.
The 76th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWA X Division Champion Matt "Michael Shane" Bentley (8/20/03 to 1/7/2004)
The next two title changes will be occur in Ultimate X Matches. Those beats the battle royal that Christian won the newly christened Intercontinental Champion. The United States Championship was only reactivated a month earlier.
The 77th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWA X Division Champion Chris Sabin (2) (1/7/04 to 3/31/04)
The 78th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
WWE Intercontinental Champion Randy Orton (3/31/04 to 7/11/04)
And injury finally befalls the X Division. Orton had a 200+ day reign as Intercontinental Champion to set up his brief first World Heavyweight Championship reign. The United States Championship would be vacant at the time for an angle.
The 79th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
WWE Intercontinental Champion Edge (7/11/04 to 9/6/04)
The 80th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWATNA X Division Champion Petey Williams (9/6/04 to 1/16/2005)
Edge had to vacate the IC title due to injury. Petey Williams won the title in an odd fashion, a gauntlet for the gold featuring 21 other competitors. In the end of the match, he had to defeat the man who was the previous cool move innovator, Amazing Red. He did this with an evil cooler move, the somersault piledriver known as The Canadian Destroyer by every commentor. Ring of Honor did have the Pure Championship, but John Walter's personality fit the pure wrestler far too well.
The 81st Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWATNA X Division Champion A.J. Styles (2) (1/16/05 to 3/13/05)
Williams was so dominant, Ultimate X was the only way to take the title from him.
The 82nd Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin (3/13/05 to 6/20/05)
I can appreciate a screwy finish, but if the Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian co-championship result of Ultimate X did not delegitimize the concept. It was delegitimized when Christopher Daniels hitting his finish on Styles while the ref was out and then grab the belt.
Benjamin won the IC belt in October at Taboo Tuesday, selected to challenge for the title by fan vote. Orlando Jordan only held the US Championship to avoid John Cena being a double champion when he won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 21.
The 84th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWATNA X Division Champion A.J. Styles (3) (9/18/05 to 12/11/05)
Adding Ric Flair to this list would seem fine, but compared to an A.J. Styles who had just won his championship in TNA's BEST MATCH (The pay-per-view headlining Triple-Threat with Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe), he does not make the cut.
The United States Championship was being feuded over between Chris Benoit and Booker T to set up a run back of their best of seven in WCW. To get there the title was vacated. The conclusion came the following January.
The 85th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWATNA X Division Champion Samoa Joe (1) (12/11/05 to 3/12/2006)
The 86th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWATNA X Division Champion Christopher Daniels (3/12/06 to 4/10/06)
Samoa Joe was set up to become the next heavyweight headliner for all of TNA, so the only way to take the belt from him was Ultimate X. There was not anything screwy from what I can recall.
The 87th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWATNA X Division Champion Samoa Joe (2) (4/10/06 to 6/19/06)
Once Joe loses the championship to Low Ki (Senshi), without being defeated, he is prepped for the biggest match in TNA with Kurt Angle.
The 83rd Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
WWE Intercontinental Champion Carlito Colon (6/20/05 to 9/18/05)
The 84th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWATNA X Division Champion A.J. Styles (3) (9/18/05 to 12/11/05)

The 88th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
NWATNA X Division Champion Low Ki (6/19/06 to 10/22/06)
The 89th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
WWE United States Champion Chris Benoit (4) (10/22/06 to 5/20/2007)
Low Ki would go on to lose the X Division Championship to Chris Sabin who would lose it two days later to A.J. Styles. This was part of a number one contendership tourney for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and, with Styles being a former champion, Sabin was booked into a no win situation.
The Intercontinental Championship was recovering from poor booking in 2006 and it was going to swap the belt between tag team specialist John(ny Nitro) Morrisson and Jeff Hardy. Mr. Kennedy was being groomed to be the next main eventer and the US Champion who Benoit defeated. In turn, Benoit was grooming the next great secondary champion.
The 90th Disgruntled's Real Grand-Slam Champion:
WWE United States Champion MVP: Montel Vontavious Porter (5/20/07 to 4/27/2008)
Pity that I could not make it the five-star championship, but until Nigel McGuinness won the Pure Championship, it was an after thought. Perhaps we will get there with the NWA-Free TNA and its TV/Global/Legends Championship. If that is the case, this title history is about to get a little boring.
That is making me rethink including "World" championships I choose to ignore like TNA's, Impact, the WWE Universal, and the WWE ECW Championships. There is just too much talent to get over. Now I am feeling like a Kennedy...McMahon.
